Louth Remembers Bethany Vincent and Darren Henson

June 10th 2021

On Monday May 31st Bethany Vincent and her son Darren Henson lost their lives in a stabbing that has shaken Louth. The police have arrested a suspect, but because this is an ongoing investigation they are asking anyone with information to come forward, and for people to refrain from posting speculation on social media.

Normally I wouldn't comment on a crime such as this, so this is all I will be saying about the crime.

The fundraiser

However, it is really heartening how the local community has come together to support the family. People have laid many flowers and tributes to the victims. Rochelle Clare organised an online fundraiser on the 1st of June, soon after the tragic events. To date it has raised over £10,000 for funeral and other costs.

It's actions of compassion such as this that restore faith in people's humanity.
