Trinity Ward Election Results

April 11th 2013

On Thursday 11th April Malcolm Locking, John Gains and Andrew Austin contested the seat on Louth Town Council that was recently vacated by former Councillor Gill Burton. The seat is in Trinity Ward, and polling took place at the Youth Centre on Park Avenue.

The results were as follows:

  • Andrew Austin (Labour) - 132
  • John Gains (Independent) - 36
  • Malcolm Locking (Independent) - 84

The turnout was a measly 14.6%, with one spoiled ballot.

Thursday, 2nd of May is the date of the County Council elections. I hope we'll see a bit more voter engagement with that one.
