The town centre was closed off for the seventh annual Run For Life on Sunday 24th June. The course was slightly altered due to the presence of the three massive crocheted lions of the Lionheart Project. It was also slightly muddy because it rained. However neither of these things dampened people's enthusiasm for the run, made in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Winners

Under 12's completed a 1km course, and this was won by Jevan Jones. Janine Stones won the women's race, and Mark Preston won the men's event.
